Leonard Andors, DDS, 80, of Brookhaven Hamlet, died on September 13. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, Columbia University, Princeton University and NYU, College of Dentistry. Dr. Andors served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He operated an oral surgery practice in Patchogue from 1954-1975, was a professor at Suffolk Community College and founding member SUNY Stony Brook, School of Dental Medicine and Suffolk County Academy of Medicine. Dr. Andors was past president of the Suffolk County Dental Society, attending oral surgeon, director of dentistry and member of the medical board of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his children, Sharon Steckler, and Allison and Louis Andors; sister, Audrey Scott; and grand children, Leigh, James and Logan. He was predeceased by his wife, Leah.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Bayport-Blue Point Funeral Home. Interment was in the VA National Cemetery, Calverton. A graveside service was held.
