Tice's later became Howie’s, then Sue’s Haven. It changed much in appearance, becoming a 2-story bar and residence. The property was eventually purchased by the Fire District and torn down; the District's service facility now occupies the site. It had a long and storied history in the Hamlet. It's demise was mourned by some, celebrated by others.

It is said that this lunch counter was incorporated into the later structure, although some believe it was first removed. In front of the lunchonette is George Tice Jr. George Tice was the half-brother to Robert (Bud) Stirling and Ruth Stirling Gould. It is said that the lunchonette was open only during the Summer months.
