This artists rendition of the Post Carriage House, drawn by Robert Baum, depicts the building prior to it's conversion to it's present use as a church hall. Older residents who have viewed the rendering, including James Howell's Post's grandaughter, indicate that the drawing accurately depicts the building.

The view is looking east from the hill behind the modern carriage house.
The barn like structure to the left (north) does not appear in later pictures. Also, barn doors are on both the west facing and south facing walls, of which there is no modern visible evidence.
The then smallish tree to the immediate north of the building had become very large by 2003 when it was removed to facilitate a new basement construction.
When enlarged, the man in the picture appears to be James H. Post. 02-18-2009 12:00:00

.. West face as it appeared in 2009. While all known historical pictures of the Post Carriage House taken during the Post family tenancy show this side of the building, in modern times it is considered the backside.
