Comment: This is a picture of Beaver Dam Road, looking east from about the present intersection with Locust Road.
The first house on the left is the Swezey-DeHond House, the next on the left is the Brewster Rose-Tuthill House (Br17A). About 1927, the Swezey House was moved from this site at 335 Beaver Dam Road one lot north to its present site at 5 Locust Road.

Comment: Of those who have viewed this picture there is agreement that this is of the Swezey House before Alex DeHond made renovations in the 1940's. Alex DeHond is known to have built the fire place that is on the north wall, and to have removed the doorway shown between the two front windows. He (or at the time it was moved about 1927) removed the chimney in the center of the larger wing.
It is also likely that this picture is of the house before it was moved from it's original site on 335 Beaver Dam Road to 5 Locust Road. An outbuilding can be seen in the picture which may be the same outbuilding as now at 355 Beaver Dam Road. There is no recollection of there ever having been an outbuilding at the 5 Locust Road site.
